Free Local Wine & Jams Guide

Looking for a Friday date night idea or something to do with the crew on Sunday? The Cellar has great options. Their Friday night concerts are curated with a more low-key and intimate evening in mind while seated around a fire pit, while Sundays are planned to party! Both summer wine series are free all summer long!
Jasper Winery

Great local wine and a free show? Yes, please. This local wine & jam has been featured in the Des Moines Register, so you know the hype is real. Bring your own seating, pack a snack or check out some of the local food trucks. Be sure to grab a glass or bottle of your favorite Jasper wine as well. Our personal recommendation would be a delectable glass of their sangria 
Prairie Moon Winery
LOCATION: 3801 W 190th St, Ames, IA 50014- Sundays, 3 – 6pm

Make Prairie Moon one of your winery stops this summer. For just $5, you’ll get admission to the concert and a glass of their specialty sangria! Not to mention they’ve got some hot & fresh brick oven pizza on the premises (if that’s not a good enough reason, IDK what is!).
Covered Bridges Winery
- Saturdays, 6:30 – 9:30pm & Sundays, 2 – 4pm

Ready to be transported to the beauty of Madison County? Covered Bridges Winery has options for you every weekend this summer! They’ll have full bands on Saturdays nights for a $5 cover and smaller (still amazing) acts FREE on “Wine Down” Sundays.
Fireside Winery

Carper Vineyard &Winery

Every Wednesday, Carper Winery will be hosting a great local band and offering not only their great wine, but a full farm. “Wine Down” on Wednesdays, the perfect excuse for a mid-week boost or catching up with co-workers for a little “pick me up”. And get this, they have FOOD TRUCKS. BYOS (bring your own seat).
Cedar Ridge Winery & Distillery
LOCATION: 1441 Marak Rd NW, Swisher, IA 52338

This one is worth the drive up north. Catch a full band on Friday nights or settle in for something more cozy on a Sunday afternoon. Not a huge fan of wine? No worries! Cedar Ridge is also a distillery! (And hey, if live music isn’t necessarily your thing, be sure to check out their other fun themed events throughout the summer.)
